While I was there, I met Jerry. He told me that his nickname was Knucks! Knucks was a black man about 10 years older than me. He was also in on the lobster heist with me and got canned as well.

Knucks rode a little Honda motorcycle all the time like the devil was chasing him. I asked him once why do they call you knucks? He said that where he comes from you can either fight or try to make people think you’re crazy! He said I’d rather people just think I am crazy. So, we had a pretty good mutual relationship going on he could get me heroin and I could get him cocaine. It was the beginning of a beautiful yet terrible friendship.
